Never Summer

This summer I was honored with an invite from Never Summer Snowboards sales manager Mike Gagliardi to check out the new location of their world headquarters and manufacturing facility in  Denver, Colorado.

Adam and I flew out to the massive Denver International Airport and hooked up with “Gags” and some old snowboard buddies for dinner, drinks and story telling. We took an evening tour of the Highlands section of Denver and a downtown skate park that was mind blowing.

The next morning we met the crew at the Never Summer offices and Vince provided us with a deluxe tour of the factory. We got to see the NS crew in action, building snowboards that we will be selling this winter. “Handmade in the USA” describes exactly the impression that we were left with when we arrived at the final step in the manufacturing process. As a new NS board emerged from a ceramic stone grinder with perfectly polished edges, was hand waxed and inspected it occurred to me that at this point 35-40 technicians had handled each snowboard and completed one of the many steps involved in building your new ride!

We spoke with several of the NS craftsmen (and women) along the way and I could sense the pride that goes into each and every board.

After the factory tour we sat down with Never Summer owner Tracey and the sales and marketing team to discuss the snow biz and they shared with us a few exciting new hybrid camber shapes that will be available at the shop this season. I believe that their product is the best value in the industry: Top quality materials, innovative shapes and the best warranty (3 years!) in the biz and made in the USA!

If you still have not experienced the Never Summer legendary ride, you owe it to yourself!
Stop by the shop and take one out for a spin, The Cutting Edge has a full NS demo fleet in stock, demos for sale, and brand new boards for purchase.
