Skate Jam

A giant thanks to everyone who came to support our end of the summer skate jam at Norton park in Plainville.  We had a great turnout having had a bunch of kids enter and a lot of spectators. The jam started at noon on what turned out to be an amazing Saturday. Starting off with 16 and under mini ramp jam followed by the 17 an up mini ramp jam. Taking first in the 16 and under ramp jam was Damon Diamantes flollwed by Eli in second and Cass in Third. Ethan McCarty took first in the 17 and up group and is only 15 years old. Derek Durity took second and Mara Thang took third.  It was onto the street course after the mini ramp jams were over.  The street course jam was awesome. The top three skaters from both 16 and  under adn 17 and older battled it out. The result was a sick session ending with Mara Thang taking first, Manny Merced taking second and Derek Durity took third.
Cody had built a sweet high ollie bar setup and Maciek from hardware City skateboards donated a deck to the person that had the highest ollie. The highest ollie was a close match between Derek Durity and Mason Johnson. Mason ended up taking it with a height of 31 inches and took home a new Hardware City deck.
